Workshop 3 - Sequences, timings and tempo - Prerequisites: The participator must be able to do 2-3 pull ups, be able to up and over, leg lift and invert comfortably. If the participant has no trapeze experience, but is competent in another discipline that is also fine. Please let the coach or Galway Community Circus know of any injuries or learning requirements in advance.
Three day workshops focusing on gaining a better understanding of how dynamic technique works; working on all manner of beats, exploring new catch release tricks - and what are the fundamental principles that make them work.
In the workshop we may also use safety lines as a tool to try exercises, and try some bigger tricks!
Each session will inform the next, but will also work as stand alone sessions. The first session will look at fundamentals, which are essential for beginners and advanced students alike. In the second and third sessions, we’ll look at tricks and sequences.
Workshop 3 -Sequences, timings and tempos.
The final workshop will conclude all of the work we have been doing. We will look at linking some of the tricks we’ve been researching, and by joining them together we will look at just how important tempos are in dynamics. How can one crazy trick inform the next? How can we take our dynamics and give them a unexpected twist?
