Workshop 1 in a 3 day series.
Beginner to advanced- some experience with Trapeze; you must be able to mount and dismount safely, and hang by your knees without your hands. No experience with dynamics required.
Each session will inform the next, but will also work as stand alone sessions. The focus will be on gaining a better understanding of how dynamic technique works; working on all manner of beats, exploring new catch release tricks - and what are the fundamental principles that make them work. We may also use safety lines as a tool to try exercises, and try some bigger tricks!
The first workshop will look at fundamentals, which are essential for beginners and advanced students alike. In the second and third sessions, we’ll look at tricks and sequences.
Workshop 1
The fundamentals - drills and drops. It’s about the basics, the theory – in as much detail as possible.
We will be focusing on the fundamentals of dynamics. Exploring some drills to really refine our understanding of what shapes and theory we need to truly nail the tricks we want to achieve. How do dynamics really work? How can we achieve these tricks with accuracy and comfort?
